The Highland Football Academy Wall of Fame is located in the
reception area of the Dingwall Centre.
It seeks to acknowledge those from the Highlands who have become distinguished
footballers. It is hoped that such acknowledgement will also serve to inspire
future generations of footballers as they make use of the Academy’s facilities.
The wall of fame has been established with the continued support of The Press
and Journal, which has contributed many of the pictures that are on show.
The wall now contains its initial set of players, ranging from Jimmy Andrews in
the 1950’s to current players such as Inverness Caledonian Thistle’s Don Cowie
and Ross County’s Stuart Golabek. Some examples are shown here, including the
Grant twins, Suzanne and Shelley who are members of the Scottish Women’s A
Squad, Ross Jack, scoring on his debut for Everton versus Middlesbrough, and
Guinness Book of Records entrant Tommy Ross, who scored the fastest hat-trick in
senior football history.
If you wish to nominate a player for the wall of fame, contact us at the
Dingwall centre.
